Soul Eater Not! This is a side-story and spinoff that occurs one year before the events in the original Soul Eater. The Death Weapon Meister Academy is where humans with the ability to turn into weapons, and the Meisters who have the talent to use these weapons train. Characters from the main series enroll in the class of Especially Awarded Talent. They train to be warriors for justice, capable of defeating threats that prey upon innocent lives or even the world. The other students are not as talented. The members of the Normal Overcome target class are less concerned with being justice warriors and focus more on how to control their powers. Tsugumi, a new student who can transform her halberd, is introduced to Meisters Meme Tatane, and Anya Hepburn. She quickly becomes indecisive as she tries to decide which one of these two friends will be her partner. Their lives will change dramatically as they begin to learn how to control their powers.
